Word Bubbles

This Bubble word families activity makes it lots of fun for kids to practice identifying word families and rhyming. Reading is Rhyming is still a work in progress so please use this as a guiding activity. The theme is perfect for spring when kids are blowing bubbles outside. 
Simply print pages in color and if you want laminate for durability. Cut apart on the dotted line so you have 13 word family mats and 52+ bubbles of pictures that go on the mats. I suggest storing them in ziplock bags to keep them handy for reusing.
Kids will sort the bubble pictures by sounding out the words. Then they will place the picture on the bubble container mat with the same word family.
This is such a great way for kids to practice rhyming words and organizing word families.
YOUNGER KIDS: Show the child each picture and repeat the word three times. Have them repeat the words. Then, through random selection, pick up a word bubble and ask your child what the word is.
